What to expect from this course?
The data engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure and systems that store, process, and manage data. In this course, Amsterdam Data Academy teaches you how to do just that. You’ll not only learn the theory behind it but also gain practical experience through our hands-on assignments.

» Course 1: Introduction in data engineering
In this first module, we will familiarize you with the world of data engineering. We’ll guide you through the various tools that are currently relevant, helping you understand the capabilities of these tools and when to use them. By the end of this module, you will be able to independently determine which tools are personally relevant to you. Read more >>
» Course 2: Programming with Python
In the first week of this module, we’ll take you through the fundamentals of Python. Then, you’ll spend two weeks programming in Python. Finally, you’ll write your own code and conclude this block with a programming assignment in Python. Read more>>
» Course 3: Databricks & Spark
Now the real work begins. You’ll work with some commonly used and important tools in the field of data engineering. With these tools, you’ll achieve significant time savings in data processing. You’ll learn how to use the tools and understand when to use them. Read more>>
» Course 4: Azure
In this course you learn how to work with Azure to structure and store your data. You know how to connect your input data sources to Azure. But also, you know how to use the data in Azure by pushing it to Power BI or other tool.
» Course 5: Data & Ethics
There is currently a lot of discussion about where human power ends and algorithms take over. This course is all about this dynamic, where we assist you in forming your own opinion and teach you how to handle this in organizations. Read more>>
» Course 6: Individual Assignment
Now, it’s time to put your knowledge into practice! In this module, you’ll engage in a hands-on practical case, working independently. This assignment will encompass various topics covered in the previous modules and receive intensive guidance from your personal mentor. You’ll conclude with a final presentation that you’ll share with your fellow participants.
» Optional: Internship & job search
As an optional step (additional cost of 1.500 euro) you can do an internship at a company to further develop your data engineering skills. Also, we will actively help you in finding a job after the program. This is typically interesting if you seeking a data engineering role after the program. Previous students who were seeking a job have been succesful in finding a job by 80 tot 90%.

Costs and study material
The cost of this bootcamp is €3.495, including access to the online learning environment, live Zoom sessions, video lectures, and personal assistance for your questions. As an official (CRKBO) training provider, we are exempt from VAT. Payment options include invoicing or monthly installments.
All course content is in English or comes with English subtitles. Our instructors are bilingual (English and Dutch) and ready to guide you through the material. No special software purchase is required for this course.
